Pamela Crassweller

Pamela Crassweller, M.A. is a Board Certified Licensed Psychologist who specializes in testing for learning disabilities. This includes an evaluation of intelligence and all academic achievement areas.

Crassweller Services, Inc. has been involved in NC Testing for Learning Disabilities since 2002, working with both children and adults.

IQ Testing: The standards in assessing IQ are the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fourth Edition (WISC-IV) and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV). These provide in-depth information on several components of IQ (Verbal Comprehension, Perceptual Reasoning, Working Memory, and Processing Speed). Taken together, a Full Scale IQ score can be obtained.

Educational Testing: The Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement-Third Edition (WJ-III) is the standard for assessing academic achievement. Strengths and weaknesses will be identified in areas such as basic reading skills, reading comprehension, math calculation skills, math reasoning, and written expression.

Visual-Motor testing: The Bender Visual-Motor Gestalt Test-Second Edition is ranked among the top assessments in terms of use. This test is administered to identify mental retardation, academic disabilities (particularly reading), and personality dynamics. This assessment is optional but may determine the extent of a child’s difficulty with fine motor skills.
